Dining Room HomePageThis is part of a set of eight dining chairs in local elm with upholstery by Northgate Interiors. The design is based on the classic Hans Wegner CH33 chair – very elegant and comfortable. The back is curved using laminations of solid elm with a curved seat base.
Whisky Box
HomePage Smaller ThingsThe Whisky box was designed as a gift from members of the local triathlon club to one of their friends. The box is made from beautifully grained local ash in a dovetail construction. The inside of the box is made from birch ply shaped to hold a very nice 21 year old bottle of Arran single malt and 6 glasses. The box is customised with laser engraved text and logo.
Sycamore Drawer Unit
Bedroom HomePagePart of a bedroom furniture set, the drawer unit makes use of curved sides to give a flow to the piece. The drawers are of dovetail construction with an ‘S’ curve on the front face of rosewood inlay to contrast the light coloured sycamore.
Oak Corner Unit
Dining Room HomePage Living Room StudyThe oak corner unit was designed for a new custom built house. It sits under a feature oak staircase and is intended to provide a combination of book shelves, storage and display area. It takes in a corner so the opportunity to use concave and convex doors allowed it to sweep round the corner. The book case is stepped to follow the line of the stairs and stainless steel supports for the end shelves were used to tie into stainless steel in the stair.
Wegner Chair
Bedroom HomePage Living Room StudyBased on a classic Danish design by the late Hans Wegner, this chair is exceptionally comfortable. The frame is oak (with a fantastic and quite unusual grain pattern). A couple of hand made cushions complete the design.
